TopDoc Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to all users of services provided by TopDoc Medical Group Pty Ltd (ACN 670 520 064) and its associated clinics, including but not limited to general practice services, infusion therapy delivered via TopDoc Infusion Clinic, and skin cancer checks provided through SkinCheck Australia (collectively referred to as “TopDoc”, “we”, “our”, or “us”).
By accessing or using our websites, booking platforms (including HotDoc), or attending any appointment with TopDoc, you agree to comply with these Terms, as well as our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not access or use our services.
Medical Disclaimer and Emergency Services
TopDoc is not an emergency service. In case of a medical emergency, you must call 000 or go to the nearest emergency department.
The content on our website, blog, or digital materials is for general informational purposes only and is not a substitute for medical advice. For personalised medical advice, you should consult a qualified healthcare professional. We disclaim all liability for any loss or injury resulting from reliance on non-clinical content.
Services Offered
- In-person and virtual general practice (GP) consultations
- Infusion therapy via TopDoc Infusion Clinic
- Skin cancer checks via SkinCheck Australia
We reserve the right to change, expand, or discontinue services at our discretion, without prior notice.
Telehealth Eligibility
- Unlimited Medicare-covered Telehealth appointments are available to eligible patients after a single in-person visit every 12 months.
- Some appointment types or medical issues may require in-person care and may not be eligible for Telehealth.
- Medicare billing regulations and Telehealth eligibility criteria are subject to change and are determined by federal policy.
Fees, Payments & Rebates
- Fees are subject to change without prior notice.
- Medicare rebates or private health insurance coverage may vary depending on eligibility and provider policies.
- It is the patient’s responsibility to confirm rebate eligibility prior to the appointment.
- All payments are due before or at the time of consultation unless otherwise arranged.
- Some services may require pre-approval from your insurer or may incur out-of-pocket costs not covered by standard fees.
TopDoc may accept payment via HotDoc (in-app or web-based), EFTPOS, or cash (at participating clinics). Payment timing may vary depending on the appointment type and booking method. We may require prepayment at time of booking or accept payment at the time of the appointment.
Consent for Treatment
- By attending a TopDoc clinic or using our services, you provide your consent for healthcare professionals to assess, diagnose, and treat you.
- Consent may be obtained in person, digitally via HotDoc forms, or by other means as determined appropriate by the treating practitioner.
Bookings and Cancellations
Specialist Appointments:
- No fee if cancelled more than 72 hours in advance
- Fee may apply if cancelled within 48 hours
General Appointments:
- Cancellations less than 2 hours prior may incur a cancellation fee
New Patients: Failure to attend first appointment without notice or reasonable explanation may result in the full new patient fee.
Use of HotDoc and Account Conduct
- Do not create multiple accounts for yourself
- Do not share your login details with others
- Ensure the information you provide is accurate and up to date
Termination of Services
- We may refuse or discontinue services if a patient is abusive, engages in fraud, or fails to pay fees after reminders.
- Where appropriate, we will refer you to another provider.
Identification and Eligibility
You may be asked to verify your identity before certain services (e.g., prescriptions, referrals). Acceptable ID may include photo identification or other documentation deemed acceptable by TopDoc.
Website Content and External Links
- General health articles and third-party links are not a substitute for medical care.
- We are not responsible for the accuracy or reliability of third-party content.
Intellectual Property
- You may not reproduce, distribute, or use TopDoc branding or content without permission.
- You may not modify or reverse-engineer any part of our website.
Technology, Security, and Third-Party Tools
- We use reasonable commercial efforts to keep our platforms secure, but online communications carry risks.
- You are responsible for maintaining your device’s security.
- We may integrate third-party tools (e.g., Stripe, Google Maps) which are governed by their own terms.
Privacy and Data Use
Your personal and health information is handled per our Privacy Policy. By using our services, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your data for purposes outlined in that policy.
Limitation of Liability
- We make no warranties that services will be uninterrupted or error-free.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
- We disclaim liability for actions taken based on website content or missed appointments due to incorrect information provided by you.
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Changes take effect when published on our website. Continued use of services implies acceptance of the updated terms.
Governing Law
